About Us

Hello, we are Denise and David. Our motto is Re-lax, Re-New, Re-juvenate, and our aim is to have very relaxed, renewed, rejuvenated and happy guests who take home many happy memories of their stay with us. To this end nothing is too much trouble and we will do everything we can to make your holiday enjoyable and memorable.
A warm welcome awaits you, and we hope you will love staying in the spacious, comfy Farmhouse and enjoy visiting the special and unique places in and around Fritchley, Derbyshire and the Peak District, as much as we do. (Sometimes if we have a gap between guests, we nip back and have a little holiday ourselves ) We love history, nature and animals, all of which can be found around the garden, village and countryside. We love fun and eating out too, which we’ve always enjoyed as a family, in around the local area. Church Farm in Fritchley was our family home until our son Symon started university. We bought it as a run-down old stone farmhouse and when we applied for permission to restore it, the local authority gave it Grade II listed status because of its historical value.
So, we kept the well in the kitchen which originally pumped water from the ground to the kitchen stone sink and put a glass window in the floor as a feature After moving for work, we just couldn’t bear to part with the Farmhouse we had so lovingly restored but didn’t want to leave it standing empty either. We had a ‘light bulb moment’ when we thought if we could let it as self-catering holiday accommodation to families and friends, children, and dogs, they could enjoy the spacious comfy house, large garden with amazing views, and our fabulous local area as much as we had.
